Special thanks to Optech

After seeing the America Unearthed premier which was very cool, I realized we should of said, “thank you to Jim Green and Optech for providing an Onion C200 for the collection of the LiDAR for the Show”. So thanks Jim and Optech for doing this..!

Riegl’s New Sensor

I just returned from a Demo from Riegl. They rolled out their VQ 820-G. This system can fly both airborne and bathymetric LiDAR. It will be able to fly at 3000 meters AGL at 550KHZ rep rate at this Altitude. It also captures bathymetric data at 600 meters. They say it will be hopefully available for purchase in 3 to 6 months. I was very impressed by the accuracy and the data presented. The system is about 20in x 10in X 14in high. Exact dimensions and detail can be obtained from Riegl. Click here to go to their website www.riegl.com

I am hopeful to have some picture of the data in the next couple of weeks.
